Waitomo Caves and the Glow worms

Jonathan, Josh, Sanju and I travelled up to Auckland for a weekend of caves and excitement.
The flight was terrible, bumpy and turbulent... so the only thing to do, after checking in at the hotel was to go for a drink, at 11am.

After a nice day sightseeing, drinking, eating and more drinking, we drove for 2 hours to the Waitomo Caves.

The first activity was abseiling down the 100m drop to the caves. Amazing view and drop.

Amazing pre-historic views in the cave entrance. And some poses to match our superhero status after the adrenalin high.

After climbing a metal thin ladder of 30 metres we start abseiling down different holes, getting deeper and deeper into the Waitomo cave.

and crawling!

And some amazing rock formations

No pics of the gloworms, too dark to catch anything.
But awesome none the less.

Girls Nights Out

First a night in at Laura's with a delicious Sunday Roast. Although Kirst's attempts at Yorkshire puddings ended up a bit more like muffins. Still, with gravy on top, they were yummy.
Dinner was then followed by an 80's dancing session. Vanilla Ice rules!!!!

The other night out involved a lot of wine, photographic training and girly talk.
We are cool ladies!
